BIO:
Heather Rose is a dark figurative artist raised in the woods of New England. Her work is inspired by untamed nature, folklore, and the occult. Lately, she works mostly in inks and pastels, but can never be tied down to just one medium. Mission Statement: People see my work and ask why it's so dark. Why don't I paint something "pretty", like flowers, landscapes, sunrises. I say, if you want those things, just open your eyes, they're all around you. I paint the things that I feel, the things that I see when my eyes are closed. The people who don't like it, well perhaps it's not for them.
